Instagram - strictly business or some pleasure?

Instagram is a great free marketing tool - especially for photographers.

When I decided to try and turn my hobby into a business I thought my instagram feed needed to be mostly content relating to my desire to be a wedding photographer. Makes sense, and from my research that’s what most wedding photographers feeds are - weddings. But when you’re starting out, like I am, then you possibly don’t have loads of different content to post. I mean I have plenty of photos from the weddings I’ve done which I can share but I’m conscious that it’s the same few weddings. Plus when your one celebrity couple then split up can you keep sharing photos from their wedding?! (Answers on a postcard please!)

So I’ve decided not to make my Instagram just business, the odd family photo already sneaked in but I’m going to post more of my own stuff (and let’s be honest I don’t think my insta reach is in the thousands so it’s probably not going to make much of a difference at the moment!). I want to keep it fresh and interesting for the few faithful followers I do have!
