Emma & Karl at East Sussex National, Uckfield

Emma and Karl got married on a beautifully sunny day in August this year at East Sussex National Hotel in Uckfield, East Sussex.

Theu were supposed to have got married in 2021, but you know what happened. As it turned out the weather on their original wedding date was awful plus the groom’s mum wasn't very well either so it turned out for the best I would say!

(Bridal prep at the venue - East Sussex National Hotel, Uckfield.)

I enjoy weddings at East Sussex National, it’s a really nice venue: there’s plenty of rooms for the guests to stay and the bridal party to get ready, you can have your ceremony inside in one of the three rooms or outside. I’ve not been to many golf clubs but this one has some amazing grounds! The entrance to the hotel with the dramatic spiral lights is a great place to have a big group photo too.

(The impressive entrance to the hotel and the room set up for Emma & Karl’s wedding plus the cake and the lego flower decorations made by the groom.)

Emma and Karl opted for an outdoor ceremony followed by drinks and canapés and group portraits all outside too.

Then it was time to go into their function room for speeches and then the wedding breakfast.

We went off in a golf buggy to do bride and groom portraits after the wedding breakfast, this worked out better with the light as it would have been very harsh and hot if we’d done them after the ceremony! It was still really bright so I did manage to find a nice shady wooded spot for some portraits as well as out on the golf course.

Later on there was of course cake cutting, the first dance and also Emma had a dance with her Father.
