Sunday 14th June Crowborough Country Park

Another walk around the local country park. There is one patch that the butterflies seem to love. I say butterflies but it seems I only photographed one butterfly as it has the same slightly damaged wing in almost every photo, even though some these were taken 40 minutes apart! There was definitely more than one butterfly but only one that liked the camera it seems.

I have also changed how I edit the photos. I have realised that I don’t need to follow the usual trend for punchy bold colours, and also for extreme close ups. There’s plenty of other photographers that do that really well. Some of my favourite photos I’ve taken so far are where there are more of the surroundings included. Of course there are some close ups that I love especially as the depth of field that this lens gives me and the look is very ‘dreamy’ you might say so I’m going more for that vibe. I love the look of Alice Tatham’ The Wild Wood Moth’s photos. Of course the fact that I’m taking mine in the middle of the day when the sun is at it’s harshest because that’s when the butterflies I think are out the most is a bit tricky for me to then get that softer light but we’ll see what I can do.
