Tuesday 2nd June - ROWLAND WOOD & PARK CORNER HEATH, EAST HOATHLY
Second trip to this woodlands and heath - a birthday outing in fact! The plan was to go to Knepp near Horsham but the weather wasn’t looking brilliant so decided to save petrol and stay local. The weather held out and I was quite surprised to get a few species of butterflies, moths and other insects, no pearl bordered fritillaries this time though. We also heard plenty of birds, saw a possible Woodcock, some squirrels having a good old chase and a small herd of deer running past!
